On this Expedition:
As a part of the geophysics science team, I help with several instruments that are used to record information about the ocean floor. I work on the night shift and am on deck whenever possible deploying or recovering gear. We traveled in Bangkok and Phuket before boarding the ship for the 90 East Ridge. I work with several of the scientists and the data files that we are collecting here on this expedition. When I am not on watch, I still work on deck whenever there is something going on. The seas have been rough and extra help is always appreciated at sea. I really enjoy being out here.

About myself:
I am a student at Texas A&M and am working on my degree in geophysics. I will be attending graduate school for an advanced degree. They have an excellent oceanography and geophysics research program. I like adventure and it makes life interesting to be able to work on projects like this expedition to the 90 East Ridge.
For Students:
It is all about the opportunity to discover what no one else knows. We are in a part of the world where we haven't seen a ship for days and very little is even known about the sea floor directly below. This is adventure!
