March 31st marks the end of the first quarter of research for the 12 Research Consortia awarded through the Request for Proposals (RFP-IV) in November of last year.  More information on the details of these awards is now available on the Research Information Database (RIS), here.   Several members of the GoMRI Management Team attended the kick-off meetings for new consortia, held in late February and March, and excitement is growing within the consortia as the science begins to get underway.   You can read FAQs about the new consortia, along with plenty of other stories, in the GoMRI 2015 Winter Newsletter, which was recently released.

The deadline to submit a full proposal in response to the GoMRI Request for Proposals V (RFP-V) was March 13, 2015.  288 full proposals were received, and administrative and peer-review will take place over the next several months.  The total funds available for distribution through RFP-V will be approximately $9 million per year and awards are expected to be announced this fall.

The GoMRI Management Team is hosting a booth at the Southern Sociological Society Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA on March 25-28.  If you plan to attend the meeting, be sure to stop by!   GoMRI staff will be on hand to answer questions about the program, future conferences and funding opportunities.
