GeoPRISMS is sponsoring a two-day workshop to consider the future of the Amphibious Array of onshore and ocean-bottom seismometers currently deployed as the Cascadia Initiative. The workshop will have two primary goals: 1) to evaluate the ongoing Cascadia Initiative deployment of the Amphibious Array, which will have completed three of four years by the time of the workshop, and 2) to make recommendations for the type, size, and scope of future scientific studies using the Amphibious Array, identifying critical scientific targets and recognizing the capabilities of the Amphibious Array. The workshop will take place October 23-24, 2014 in Snowbird, Utah. Considerable travel support is available; to be eligible, please register by Tuesday, September 9 and indicate the level of funding you need. All other registrations close on Tuesday, September 30. World Ocean Council Business Forum on Ocean Policy and Planning

The World Ocean Council (WOC) will convene a Business Forum on Ocean Policy and Planning at The Roosevelt Hotel in New York, New York on September 29-30, 2014. U.S. Hydro 2015 Conference

The U.S. Hydro 2015 Conference, presented by The Hydrographic Society of America, will be held at the Gaylord Hotel in National Harbor, Maryland, on March 16-19, 2015. U.S. Hydro 2015 is a continuation of the series of hydrographic conferences that alternate between the United States and Canada. This is the 15th U.S. Hydrographic conference and follows on the very successful U.S. Hydro 2013, held in New Orleans, Louisiana. In addition to the technical papers, the conference will feature an extensive series of Workshops, an Exhibition Hall, and a Student Outreach program. The conference will include technical sessions and a poster session on the latest developments and applications in hydrographic surveying, multibeam and side scan sonar, data management, electronic charting, marine archaeology, and related topics.
