Emily Griffin, Program Associate for the ORION Project Office, joined the JOI staff in July 2004. She has a background in web content development, media relations, and communications. Previously, she was a member of the USATODAY.com editorial staff and worked at Eastern Michigan University in the sports information office. Prior to joining the ORION Project Office, Emily spent 2 1/2 years living in the Middle East, including service as a Peace Corps volunteer in Jordan. She is proficient in Arabic and is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
