Jon Corsiglia started as JOI's Communications Associate in June 2005. Before coming to JOI, Jon was a press secretary with the Environmental Working Group which researches and publicizes environmental health concerns from toxins in air, food, water and our bodies. He has also worked for the non-profit Environmental Media Services where he supported communications campaigns designed to highlight the environmental side-effects of international trade and development institutions like the WTO and World Bank. Jon has also done media and publicity consulting for the Alice Ferguson Foundation, which coordinates the massive annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup that rallies thousands of volunteers in the DC-area.

At the University of San Diego, Jon studied Interdisciplinary Humanities, concentrating on religions, and earned a minor in Environmental Studies. While living in San Diego, Jon enjoyed the outdoor environment. He learn to surf, rock climb and became an avid mountain biker. A two-month walking trek across Northern Spain and a recent snowboarding trip to Japan are his favorite travel experiences. He also enjoys camping at the beach during the summer.
