For the Undergraduate Classroom

It’s a little known fact! Deep Earth Academy offers 8 modules for undergraduates based upon data spanning 26 scientific ocean drilling expeditions, from Deep Sea Drilling Program Leg 3 to Integrated Ocean Drilling Program Expedition 303. Written by Mark Leckie (University of Massachusetts, Amherst) and Kristen St. John (James Madison University) for School of Rock 2005 participants, each activity is linked to pertinent data sets, graphics, videos, lab briefs and core photos. Two new posters appropriate for undergraduates are also available, and more modules are on the way. Have a module or lesson plan to share with your colleagues? Contact Sharon Cooper.
