On Thursday evening, in the packed foyer of the Rayburn House Office Building, people lined up to try on 3D outer space goggles, explore cutting-edge stream water models, and meet the brilliant scientific minds who worked on these projects.

The House Earth & Space Science Caucus hosted this exhibition to showcase the role of “Science in Society,” featuring booths from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the U.S. Geological Survey, and more. Co-Chair Jared Polis (CO-2) warmly welcomed everyone to the event and highlighted the economic value of scientific research both to his home state and the country, as these investments create companies and jobs while keeping Americans healthy and safe.
