The Bureau of Ocean and Energy Management (BOEM) is now accepting public comments on their 2017-2022 Proposed Outer Continental Shelf Oil & Gas Leasing Program, which are due June 16.

(From The Federal Register)– BOEM proposes to conduct 10 region-wide Gulf of Mexico oil and gas lease sales during this five-year period. The region-wide lease sales are comprised of the Western and Central Planning Areas, and a small portion of the Eastern Planning Area that is not subject to Congressional moratorium. The Draft Environmental Impact statement and associated information are available on BOEM’s Web site: http://www.boem.gov/nepaprocess/.
