USF Tampa has initiated a program to accommodate faculty members from universities in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands who have suffered disruption of their research activities due to Hurricane Maria.  At this time, the program will be limited to U.S. citizens and permanent residents.

Potential displaced faculty members should contact Dr. Pritish Mukherjee in the provost’s office for approval of appointments. He can be reached at pritish@usf.edu for any questions related to prospective applications.

USF Tampa recognizes that specific needs may vary based on individual circumstances.  Displaced faculty members will be supported by temporary 4-12 week OPS research appointments at $1,000 per week, shared equally by Academic Affairs and the host college/department/principal investigator. It is anticipated that host departments will provide laboratory and office space for the visiting faculty members sufficient for the continuation of their research activities.
